Kept Margaret all day. She also had supper with John & I. He went bowling.

She sure is entertaining. Slept until 5 PM.

Marjorie phoned.

John bowled.

Went to 10:45 am church.

Home, had dinner. Fred & family came & here about an hour. I went up to visit Sib until 5 PM. John came after me. Fred took me up there.

February 26, 1955 (Saturday)

Ruth & family came in evening to see Mish & Riley game on TV. Score 70 - 53 favor Riley.

Ruth & Kathy here a while in morning.

I washed today.

John took me groc. shopping $6.50

February 24, 1955 (Thursday)

Went with John over to John Adams to see tournament basketball.

2 games afternoon & 2 evening.

Mary stopped & pd me $25.00

Went to early church.

Invited to Andersons for dinner. Ted 10 yrs old. Fiedlers - Crawfords came in afternoon & we all left about 4 PM.

Evening went to party at church for new members.

John - Vice Pres. received the new members by greetings. Coffee & cookies served. Nice evening.

Home 9:30 PM.

Norman finished today. Juste[?] a mess to clean up for me.

Sure swell to have soft water.

February 17, 1955 (Thursday)

Norman Collmer came & did plumbing for hot water heater. Moved stove & also refrigerator so have it all together.

February 16, 1955 (Wednesday)

Mary took me to town / clinic

Had frames adjusted, been giving me some grief.

Shopped some at Robertsons 88¢ sale.

Mary gave me new tan chair. Like it very much

February 15, 1955 (Tuesday)

Mary got Margaret & spent a short while with me.

Sally - Connie & Margaret here until 10 PM - watched TV.

Bob & Mary away for eve. She got a very pretty navy blue dress.

February 14, 1955 (Monday)

John bowled. Had nice TV program on in evening.

Mr. Genrey came & papered cracked places in bedroom - kitchen & living room.

February 13, 1955 (Sunday)

10:45 church then to Fred's at 1 PM for dinner. Also had supper & home about 9:45 PM.

Marj & I & Mrs. Barber out to visit Auntie Code[?] in afternoon. Seemed quite cheerful.

Fred gave me Valentine card & $100 check. Such a surprise.

Zero today

John took me shopping - Groceries $10.00

Evening went to Central - Ft. Wayne basketball game. Central won.

February 11, 1955 (Friday)

0 today, lots of snow.

Had a little visit over phone with Mrs. Dermert.

Margaret here

I phoned to Elsa Joers[?], she is not so good.

Kay is 16 years old today. Gave her $1.00 & pretty lace hat. All folks were there & had ice cream and cake. (except John)

Margaret here until 5 PM.

Real snow storm

John home all evening.

Mr. Gentry finished papering today. Bill $79.00. He asked 76.00 but paid him for plaster job.

Bob paid me $6.50 today.

Margaret came at 8 AM & here all day. Shopped at Charley's $5.50

Gengry here 1 hr in evening alone.

Mary took me to Optical Parlor 8th floor Sherland Bldg. for new lens.

Had Margaret call morning.

Mr. Gengry papered kitchen & part bed room.

John helped clean & get things in place in kitchen, sure helps.

Had nice brunch at Mary's.

John & I had dinner at Crawfords and Bob & John worked on cabinets in afternoon. Sypper also & home about 10 PM.

Elsa Geinetzks [?] phoned today & had quite a visit.

Alline here to clean - 6 hrs $6.00. Does a swell job.
