Went to town (Mary took me)

Got book ends at Wheelocks $5.95 for Judy.

Home at noon.

John bought & planted 2 rose bushes (Doctor & Schuells)

Up to Beltone & will make a new mold for ear.

Bob's dad got some of his belongings.

Got ironing done. Fertilized some today.

Bob pd me 6.50 today.

Went to town with John early & saw Beltone man, helped me solve a few difficulties.

Am getting more used to the aid but still seems so much noise.

Got Tom a red tie for Sunday gift with book.

Got flowers at Kagles for decoration. 1.00 a plant (6 of them)

Had .70 [?] sugar today.

Elsa Geivetzski phoned.

John played first game baseball tonight. Stayed late.

Ruth phone & invited us up for Tom confirmation get together.

Mary 43 yrs old today. Phoned to her early.

Went to Bank, Insurance, etc. this morning. Eat at Holliday.

Marjory went with me to Beltone Company & tried hearing aid, best I have tries. Pd. $75.00 & will get it Tues. May 17th. Do hope it will be OK. I pd. $75.00 down.

Had lunch at Holliday Cafeteria with Marj. No one knows how good & kind Marjorie is to me & I am so grateful. Have been so discouraged lately as I miss so much of things & people I love so dearly.

Margaret here. Mary paid me $15.00

Called Dr. Bussard about H. aid & he is well satisfied with his, has had it 10 yrs. Autvox aid. Says he uses $13.00 mo. for batteries.

May 9, 1955 (Monday)

Mary had me stay over there with Margaret. Mended a little & walked home about 4 PM.

John home in evening.

May 6, 1955 (Friday)

Margaret not here, still sick.

I spent several hours with Sib.  Ruth got me & had supper & spent evening. Home at 10 PM.

John was at sales supper.

May 5, 1955 (Thursday)

Did not have Margaret as I went to spring luncheon at church. Nice program by Bethany church.

Phoned Sib today. John practice ballgame.

Walked over to see Mrs. Chamberlain about hearing aid. Talks favorable about it. Had a nice visit.

Bob paid 6.50 & off for Chicago for day.

May 4, 1955 (Wednesday)

Margaret here.

Mary took me to Sorority mothers banquet at V W [?].  Had chicken supper, 6:30. Nice to see all the ladies again.

John planted geraniums.

May 3, 1955 (Tuesday)

Some dizzy feeling all day. Bussing in ear over an hour now.

Mr. Ackerman called & talked further about hearing aid.

May 2, 1955 (Monday)

Washed quite a large washing.

To bed at 9:30 PM.

Margaret here & John took a fall on stairs when he got her at 5 PM.

John went bowling - made 264

I get so lonesome, alone most every evening until late. Guess I bore John & tired living with his mother.

April 14, 1955 (Thursday)

Mary took me to see Dr. Crawford at Colfax ave. Seems nice man. On 2nd floor, not so nice for me. No blood pressure. Sent me to SB Lavatory [Laboratory?] for B. sugar test.

Margaret come about 11 AM.

John practice game, home soon.

March 18, 1955 (Friday)

Mary took me to Ruth's for day. Home at 5 PM. Nice visit - had Margaret along. Woody brought me home.

March 17, 1955 (Thursday)

Marjorie & I shopped in morning. Got gray dress at Grand leader $10.95 & summer nilon[?] lavender $5.95.

Home at 12:30. Margaret here.

John at church to mail lenten boxes.
