Marj phoned - going to Chicago for day with her sisters.

Got thank you card from Judy for gift at Graduation.

Mary & Margaret over an hour in evening. Pd me $18.00.

Last day for Margaret here - school out. Will miss her so much.

Fred & Mary here Sunday evening a while.

Mary & I went to Judy's bacculorate at John Adams. Rabbi Shulman gave sermon.

John & I at 10:45 church. Sat with Ruth.

Bob Clark left for Chicago today. Will miss him.

June 1, 1955 (Wednesday)

Went to town (Mary took me)

Got book ends at Wheelocks $5.95 for Judy.

Home at noon.

John bought & planted 2 rose bushes (Doctor & Schuells)

Up to Beltone & will make a new mold for ear.

May 29, 1955 (Sunday)

Went to church at 10:45 - Tom was confirmed, very nice service. All of Fiedler, Crawford family were there. Ruth, Woody, & his mother & sister Marj. I feel very happy that Ruth & W had him join the church.

John & I took flowers out to both cemetarys for Decoration day.

We were all up to Ruth's for a fine supper.

Mary bought 2 geraniums & John 2 doz. peonies. Gave Tom book & tie.

Called Dr. Bussard about H. aid & he is well satisfied with his, has had it 10 yrs. Autvox aid. Says he uses $13.00 mo. for batteries.

Mary had me stay over there with Margaret. Mended a little & walked home about 4 PM.

John home in evening.

Mothers Day.

John & I took flowers out to mother's grave. Went to church at 10:30 - Mary sat with us. Ruth surprised me, was at church with Woody. Had dinner at Joys, very good. Afterwards drove to pretty lake & back home. All of families here in afternoon. Got glove from Mary & Ruth. [laury?] from Fred & Else frying pan (Sunbeam) from John. Also gave me 50.00 towards hearing aid. Had Andersons stay for coffee & ham sandwiches. Swell day.

Mary took me to Sorority mothers banquet at V W [?].  Had chicken supper, 6:30. Nice to see all the ladies again.

John planted geraniums.

Mary took me to Dr. Crawford's appt. Feel about same. Gave me more pills & am hoping will help.

Gave me another 12B shot.

April 28,1955 (Thursday)

Elsa Gewetski phoned.

Marjorie & I shopped about ear phones. Tested at Soustone[?] by lady. (507 Sherland Bldg). Audiovox man tested my ears at home, not much success. (328 Sherland Bldg).

Had lunch at Philadelphia. I treated for once. Mary come in eve. Fixed my drapes. Got them at Star Store.

April 23, 1955 (Saturday)

John painted screens & worked in yard all afternoon.

Took me groc. shopping A&P. $11.00

Medicines have not helped much. Just would get over dizzy spells & hear better.

Throat is bad.

Mary & Fred brought laundry but did not stay long. Ruth called about birthday. Told her not to have supper, me not good.

April 22, 1955 (Friday)

Mary took me for appt at Dr. Crawford. Said after examining that chest was OK. Throat hurts me so much. He prescribed throches [troches]. Got them at Rex Pharmacy - Portage ave $1.35

Over to Mrs. Williams about hour.

Cold has gotten best of me.

Mary stopped a while in evening to see how I felt.

John practice game ball.

Mary over until 9 PM in eve.

John bowled.

April 16, 1955 (Saturday)

Mary took me to Dr. Crawford for check up. Blood sugar test seems OK, found nothing radical wrong. Blood pressure OK. Called it Deteriation [deterioration?]. Prescribed 2 medicines & gave me apy2[?] shot in arm.

John worked in yard all afternoon, planted grass seed & Charlotte Armstrong rosebush.

Prescription was $14.00 for bottle.

April 14, 1955 (Thursday)

Mary took me to see Dr. Crawford at Colfax ave. Seems nice man. On 2nd floor, not so nice for me. No blood pressure. Sent me to SB Lavatory [Laboratory?] for B. sugar test.

Margaret come about 11 AM.

John practice game, home soon.
