Mary & I went to market. Got 5 qts strawberries - come home & made preserves.

Marj phoned - going to Chicago for day with her sisters.

Got thank you card from Judy for gift at Graduation.

June 13, 1955 (Monday)

Jack Nelson was here an hour with his wife & baby, very sweet - 5 months old. Has 3 girls. Sure enjoyed their call. Always a good laugh when Jack is around. At Norfolk, VA.

June 12, 1955 (Sunday)

Sat with Woody, Tom, & Mary at 10:45 church.

Eat at Holliday - good meal.

Drove around an hour & home.

Over to Crawfords & Andersons but neither family home.

Sally & Conny sang very nice at service.

Shopped at IGA today.

Mary & Margaret over an hour in evening. Pd me $18.00.

Went to town in morning. Got new shoes at Robt $16.95

Also pr. lofers 4.99

Had lunch at Robertsons.

Got new ear piece for aid. Did pretty good at town.

Judy graduates at 8pm, John Adams,

Marjorie had reception of all relations after the graduation exercises. Nice time.

Ruth phoned & enjoyed to hear from her, as she does it so seldom.

Fred & Mary here Sunday evening a while.

Mary & I went to Judy's bacculorate at John Adams. Rabbi Shulman gave sermon.

John & I at 10:45 church. Sat with Ruth.

Bob Clark left for Chicago today. Will miss him.

Washed in morning.

Took auto ride with Demerts in afternoon to Bremen, Ind.

John planted zenias around front and side.

Elsa Gevetski off on trip to Colorado. 2 wks.

Put new battery in aid.

Mrs. Williams phoned that Betty had operation (1st June) quite serious.

Phoned Mrs. Davis & Elsa G. today. Elsa going on trip to Colorado Sat.

Last meeting of Guild today but did not go, not up to it. Getting along fairly well with hearing aid.

Bob pd me 6.50 today.

Went to town (Mary took me)

Got book ends at Wheelocks $5.95 for Judy.

Home at noon.

John bought & planted 2 rose bushes (Doctor & Schuells)

Up to Beltone & will make a new mold for ear.

Bob's dad got some of his belongings.

Got ironing done. Fertilized some today.

I washed, nice day.

John took me to parade at 2 PM & over to eat.

Monthly roses are so pretty

May 29, 1955 (Sunday)

Went to church at 10:45 - Tom was confirmed, very nice service. All of Fiedler, Crawford family were there. Ruth, Woody, & his mother & sister Marj. I feel very happy that Ruth & W had him join the church.

John & I took flowers out to both cemetarys for Decoration day.

We were all up to Ruth's for a fine supper.

Mary bought 2 geraniums & John 2 doz. peonies. Gave Tom book & tie.

Called Dr. Crawford & told me to keep at 16 units insulin.

Bob pd me 6.50 today.

Went to town with John early & saw Beltone man, helped me solve a few difficulties.

Am getting more used to the aid but still seems so much noise.

Got Tom a red tie for Sunday gift with book.

Got flowers at Kagles for decoration. 1.00 a plant (6 of them)

John played first game baseball tonight. Stayed late.

Went to town. Met Zora Hoisington at PO. - had quite a visit & then Jeanette Haquish at Bank.

Our rose bush is beautiful.
