Church at 10:45. Eat dinner at Joy's. Afterwards John took me to see Country Girl at Granada - Bing Crosby & Kelley

Fred & Mary came at 7:30 left at 8:30 PM.

Charles Siefer phoned & then talked with Sib.

Ruth & Woody & Kathy here an hour in morning. Woody told me Tom was going to confirmation school. I did not know of it before.

John cleaned wall paper in dining room.

Mary & I grocery shopped.

Charles Siefet 54 years old today.

Went to town, did little shopping, home at noon.

March 22, 1955 (Tuesday)

Mary paid me $18.50 today.

Ironed some & cleaned refrigerator.

Real snow storm & about 22° above at noon.

Phoned Sib also Mrs. Langer.

Church at 10:45 AM.

Dinner at Fred's at 1 PM.

Crawfords, Andersons, all there for ice cream & cake in afternoon.

I came back at 6 PM with Crawfords.

John bowled at Elkhart in afternoon & gone for evening.

March 19, 1955 (Saturday)

Called Fred but gone to Ind. for finals - basketball.

Swell day. He is 47 years today - don't seem possible. Gave him 3 linen helfs[?].

African Violets in full bloom.

Mary took me to Ruth's for day. Home at 5 PM. Nice visit - had Margaret along. Woody brought me home.

March 17, 1955 (Thursday)

Marjorie & I shopped in morning. Got gray dress at Grand leader $10.95 & summer nilon[?] lavender $5.95.

Home at 12:30. Margaret here.

John at church to mail lenten boxes.

March 16, 1955 (Wednesday)

Aline here to clean. Washed kitchen woodwork & flour[?] bathroom - stairs & some windows $5.50 Does sweet job.

I phoned Sib.

At Mary's for supper & evening.

John at church for supper.

Phoned to Elsie Jaers - not so good. Said Paul Jr. is doing fine after throat operation.

March 14, 1955 (Monday)

Mrs. Williams in a while in morning.

Washed today.

Sent check to Norman Collmer for $81.16

I went to early church.

Dinner at home. Afternoon drove to Anna Each [?] at Laport. Met Will & Catherine Neal & had a real visit. Home about 6:30 P.M.  Anna just fine. Sullivan had Ice Follies on his program in eve.

Catherine Schall had another baby boy.

Mary talked about 1/2 hour when she got Margaret.

Took cab to Dr. Millers for appointment. Teeth cleaned.

Cab down .70 - home 80¢

Found teeth fine condition.

Went to 10:45 service today. Chatted with Mary afterwards a little.

Mother would have been 110 years old today.

Aunt Sylvia here for afternoon & had lunch. Charles & Ben come after her.

Home all day until evening.

Fred asked me to go to Mish [Mishawaka?] Warsaw game at Elkhart.

We stopped after evening game at Holdermans - had ice cream and coffee.

Mary & I shopped at A&P. $6.50

Andersons - Crawford - John & I up to Terry's birthday party in evening. Gave him $1.00. Had ice cream & cake. He was 14 years old.

Nice evening.

Mary paid me $9.50 today for Margaret.

I went to town - shopped & paid for rug at Robertsons.

Margaret here in afternoon.

Got bill from Norman Colmen $81.16 for plumbing work on softener etc.

Sent check to Ridenour $13.62 today - electric work.

Went sewing at Childrens Aid. Nine of us. Did a lot of work & had lunch & a nice chat.

Mrs. Arnold got me & home again about 4 PM.

John home this evening.
